About Green Seed Herbals
Heather started Green Seed Herbals in Crested Butte, Colorado in 1996 after graduating from the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies. This intensive program focused on western herbal therapeutics, plant identification, herbal pharmacy, botany, anatomy and physiology, and whole foods nutrition.
Inspired by her amazing teachers and intrigued by the world of plants, she spent the next several years' organic farming, formulating, and exploring aromatherapy. In 1998 she moved to Burlington, Vermont and did a year apprenticeship at Star Root, a local aromatic apothecary.
From there she studied clinical herbalism from 2000 to 2002, at the Sage Mountain Herb School in East Barre, Vermont. This program was taught by Rosemary Gladstar and other brilliant herbalists, naturopaths, and acupuncturists.
Years of hand's on experience came from working at Rooted Wisdom, an herbal apothecary, in Stowe, where Heather addressed a wide variety of health issues both herbally and nutritionally.
Currently, she is living with her family in Northern Vermont and working as a community herbalist in Lamoille County. Heather is an active board member and vendor at the Stowe Farmer's Market and the Smuggler's Notch Country Fair. If you are visiting Vermont from mid-May to mid-October please visit her at either of these two gorgeous locations.
Her work as a community herbalist has always been with the intention and focus to make and provide the finest handcrafted herbal and aromatherapy products. These products are safe, gentle on sensitive skin, and truly effective for the whole family. The herbs are always handled with great care, respect and deep gratitude.
Thank you for taking the time to explore our website and trying some of our tried and true herbal and aromatherapy products.
